Post Christmas

Well hi ho campers Christmas has come and gone and its NY Eves eve. That is to say that tomorrow night  is NYE and am I organised , have I completed or fulfilled everything that I planned to do this year, have I lost all that weight. No No No and No. So that leaves plenty of scope for next year to be much better. Lets all keep our fingers crossed for that.
Meanwhile I finally got around to getting some photos of the giant sunflower in the front garden. The only one to survive all that rain. Of course Jazz had to butt in because she is the princess and loves to be the centre of attention.

So just in case I don;t survive the shopping mayhem tomorrow, I wish you all a safe and great 2011

Twas the day after Xmas and all through the house

Twas the day after Xmas and all through the house Everyone was snoring except my small mouse.  Who of course is pigging out on leftover Jatz biscuits.  We are so so tired and we are so glad that Christmas is over and everyone is back in their own homes safe and sound. It's nice to have visitors and nice to visit family but there is nothing better than your own little bed. Even if I will have to share it with all the animals who are determined that they won't let me out of their sight again.

So its off to beddy bye for me ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Only 11 Sleeps to Christmas

Even if I didn't know the date I should be able to tell that it's almost Christmas. There are women running all over town trying to get their shopping done and there is not a carpark to be seen. If you do manage to get a park then your car will be roasting by the time you get back to it. The Christmas Bushes are in flower and they look really spectacular this year. And temperature wise it's hot and sticky and there are HUGE Christmas beetles all over the place. Tonight you can hear them thunk as they bounce off the windows.

The Last tatting class for the year was this morning and my internet went down about 10 minutes in. Not good enough Mr Dodo. Sorry to miss sending Christmas wishes to all my online tatting friends all over the world. I hope to see them back safe and well in the New Year.

I am trying to ignore my tatting and get all the pre Chrissy stuff done. But that's fairly difficult as I just received the book I had  ordered from Yarnplayer and she included a free sample of one of her hand dyed threads.
Likewise there is not a lot happening in my hand dyed thread department. There are still a fair few of the first colourways ready to be skeined. Yes yes it's on the list.

If I mark it , It is mine!

This file is very large..
I put the mouse in the bird cage for a change. As it was rainy the cat was bored and decided to mark the cage. Can you see the mouse popping it's cute little head out  to see what's happening. Just after this I missed the best photo opportunity ever as the mouse came right up to the cat and they sniffed noses. I was too busy diving in front of the cat ( just in case there was a little tongue action) to take a picture. As I type said cat is taking liberties and is siting in front of the screen . Demanding little wretch.

More rain?

Yes I woke this morning and you've guessed it more rain  And continuous thunder so one dog is reduced to a quivering wreck and is attached to my leg wherever I go, while the other dog keeps running out into the rain to see what the noise is.
At least the temperature has dropped. However that means that my plans for world domination through creating the worlds best hand dyed threads are on the back burner again. So today armed only with one 1/2 full can of insecticide I mean to evict some spiders from there home of a year and  yes put up the Xmas tree. Okay so if I can just find it that will be a good start for today. Then to find the decorations. This could be an all day thing, pity I actually have to work.

In the beginning....

In the beginning there was a very panicky person unsure of where and how to start and so she decied to fall back on a known and tested format, suitable for all occasions.

Star Date 8.12.2010 Captain Kates log

All has been quiet within the good ship Midori apart from some problems with the holodeck. The flooding within the holodeck caused by the errant watering system has created a lush and rampant tropical growth This growth has been so frenetic that the ships pets which were released into the hologardens this am nearly didn't make it back to home deck. The lawn in particularly is currently aggressively overtaking the clothesline with only small hillocks showing the last resting places of the sundecks. If this situation continues I will have to send one of the red shirted crew in to deal with it.
